Race Tech BMW R1200RT
The BMW R1200RT is a great bike is stock trim, the only short coming the bike has, according to our customers, is the suspension is feels too soft and mushy when the bike is ridden aggressively, both on and off road. To cure this problem we created a new shock with different mounting system to accommodate our G3-S Custom Series Shock. By using a clevis style shock mount we are able to utilize our GS-3 w/ Piggyback reservoir, externally adjustable High and Low speed compression damping, adjustable rebound and adjustable spring preload.
The rear shock suffers from the same issues as the front end, too soft for any type of riding other then straight line freeway cruising. It can not be revalved, only oil weight and spring rate can be changed. To handle this we created a whole new shock, the G3-S Custom Series Shock. The G3-S Custom Series Shock comes with Remote Reservoir, Adjustable High and Low Speed Compression, Adjustable Rebound and HP Shock Spring for your riding specifications. For both front and rear shocks we are developing the Gold Valve Conversion Kit. This will allow the use of the stock unit and Gold Valve to custom valve the suspension for riders particular specs.
