Team Race Tech Update

Race Tech's Rider Support Program continues to grow as we move into the summer, and the Race Tech Team riders are continuing to put in great performances around the world. Whether in the dirt or on the pavement, you're likely to see the Race Tech riders at the front of the pack.

AMA Motocross from Colorado

The AMA Motocross Championship reached to the high altitude of Colorado for Round 3 this past weekend. Although the altitude makes for tough conditions for both the machine and the rider; Race Tech Privateer Mafia member Derek Anderson calls the Thunder Valley track home.

Once again, Derek proved he has what it takes to give the factory guys a run when he charged through the pack to well inside the top 10 in the second 450cc moto. With the Colorado crowd cheering him on, Anderson looked well on his way to the best finish of his career. A crash with 2 laps to go cost him valuable spots, but he still stayed well inside the top 20 both motos and overall to score valuable championship points. Anderson's results aren't showing how great he is riding thus far in the series.

Not to be outdone by his fellow Race Tech rider, Killy Rusk took the 250 class by storm. After getting up from a first lap crash in the first moto in nearly last, Rusk put his head down. Coming through the pack running lap times that would put him just outside the top 5, Rusk knifed through the pack to well inside the top 20. In the second moto, Rusk again was riding flawlessly near the front of the pack. A flat tire late in the moto would drop him to just outside the points. Rusk continues to improve, and this young rider will definitely be a threat inside the top 10 as the series moves on.

Ben Lamay continues to improve coming off his injury riddled Supercross season. In Colorado, Lamay put in two solid motos inside the top 20. Lamay will build off this ride as the series heads East to High Point Raceway.

Dustin Pipes and Preston Mull continued to ride well in Colorado and represent the Race Tech Privateer Mafia by qualifying for the 450cc Class and putting in a solid effort.

Meghan Rutledge's storybook season in the WMX division nearly came to an end during practice in Colorado. After a practice crash left her with an injured wrist, Rutledge was forced to sit out the afternoon's racing. She'll look to heal up for the X Games and Round 4 of the series to try and regain her podium position in the championship points. Another Meghan, Meghan McClain looked to pick up the torch for Rutledge and Race Tech. The privateer from Alaska put her CRF250 up into the points in Colorado with a strong ride.

AMA Pro Road Racing from Road America

Race Tech's Javelin Broderick continued his rookie season the AMA Pro Road Racing Circuit at Road America. Broderick is striving to learn the tracks and setup each weekend, and as he gains experience his performances continue to improve. Broderick brought home two top 20 finishes against the tough grid on Saturday and Sunday in Road America.

Race Tech Continues to Impress in Spain

Race Tech has taken the dirt and pavement by storm in Spain. With the support of Race Tech Mediterranean, a powerhouse team of riders has been putting in impressive results.

In the Spanish Motocross National Championship, Ander Valentin took the victory last round and is currently sitting 3rd in the MX2 Series. Alvaro Lozano captured another podium and retained the MX1 Championship lead!

Antonio Alarcos is representing Race Tech on the pavement. After another top 10 finish last round, Alarcos is looking strong to move into the top 5 in points. Alarcos currently leads the Privateer Championship.

Blais Racing Services/Factory KTM at Round 6 of National Hare & Hound Series

After the dust settled from the nearly 5 hour long event covering nearly 120 miles, Team Blais brought home great results at the National Hare & Hound Event. Kevin DuJongh finished inside the top 5 in the 250A division with a great performance on his KTM 250 XC. Brendan Crow crossed the line on the podium in the 250B class, and not to be outdone, Sam Bangert charged hard to take a podium in 200B.

Ben Meza took control of the 200B Class points lead with a win in his class and 3rd place overall at the event after recovering from a nasty crash early in the day.
