RACE TECH WEEKEND REPORT - 3/18/2012

Weekend Dirt Report:
Race Tech supported Derek Anderson returned to the starting gate over the weekend at Thunder Valley MX in Lakewood, CO. After spending the winter months training and re-habilitating a broken back with his sites set on the AMA Motocross Tour, Derek was ready to test his preperations in race conditions. The hard work all winter long paid off, as Derek grabbed a good start and opened up a massive lead on his way to the Open Pro class victory. In the 450 class, Derek would find himself on the ground with a bent up bike in the second corner. He was able to remount and charge back to challenge for a podium result despite the tweaked bike and huge deficit.

Blake Gardner was coming off of a four moto sweep at the opening round of the AV Motoplex Spring Series. At the second round, he rocketed his KTM 50cc to wins in the 50cc Open and 50cc 7-8 year old divisions. Blake leads the series in both classes heading into round three.

Jeff Hiatt finished up the Mudslingers MX Series last Sunday, and took home a 2nd place finish in the championship. Jeff will prepare for the Desert 100 event in Odessa, WA before focusing on the Flat Track series this summer.

Weekend Road Racing Report:

Road Racing season has upshifted into high gear, and the Race Tech Road Racing Team was out in full-force. At the CVMA event held at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, Ben Truslow was able to achieve his personal best at the track and inch within grasp of the track record! Ben was inside the top five all weekend long in the Fomula and SuperSport Middleweight divisions against what appeared to be a record turnout of racers.

Blake Gardner swept the 50cc Open and 50cc 7-8 divisions at AV Motoplex
