G3-S MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

1989 YAMAHA FJ1200

These are instructions for mounting the shock to the motorcycle. The shock has been preset for your weight, skill, and riding type.  The preset adjustments are listed on your Setup Sheet.

1.    With motorcycles rear wheel lifted securely off the ground remove the stock shock absorber and linkage according to instructions in Yamaha service manual.
2.    Install G3-S shock absorber through the bottom of swing arm with Hydraulic Preload Adjuster Line facing the right side of motorcycle.

3.    Install Upper Shock Bolt and Lower Linkage Assembly. Torque all fasteners to factory specifications.

4.    Install Hydraulic Preload Adjuster Knob Assembly on right side passenger peg bracket bolt as shown.

The shock is preset for you. Please check the sag before you ride.
