G3-S Mounting InstructionsYamaha FZ-1 2006-2010These are instructions for mounting the shock to the motorcycle. The shock has been preset for your weight, skill, and riding type. 1. Remove the stock shock absorber according to the procedures in the Yamaha service manual. 2. Install the G3-S Shock as shown. | |
3. With the G3-S in position as shown reinstall your Upper and Lower shock Bolts and torque to factory specifications. 4. Note the position of Hydraulic Line and Reservoir at this stage is facing towards the back of the motorcycle. | |
5. Remove the right side Lower Sub Frame Nut. Reservoir Bracket will slide over the exposed right side Sub Frame Bolt.

6. Position Reservoir as shown. It is very important that the Reservoir is angled up in the back to make light contact with the Sub Frame Rail. This position must be maintained after tightening of the Nut. Failure to do so could result in damage to the motorcycle Swing Arm.

7. Reinstall the Sub Frame Nut. Torque to factory specifications.

8. Pictured is the properly installed Reservoir in its final position. At this stage all fasteners should be torqued to factory specifications. Have Fun! Go Ride! | |
